Until moving into his home in Baja California 2010, Lawrence was running the business out of his home office in Naperville, IL –and did most of the shoots in a studio at the house. In 2009 he started working with photographers and makeup artists around the world and has launched studios in major cities to keep costs down for his clients. Lawrence declines to reveal specifics, but says his 2011 revenue where at eight times what he earned in his first year of business. With a push to make is easy for customers to go into a By Lawrence studio near them he believes the numbers will climb even higher in 2012.
In response to customer demand, He’s working with more photographer and makeup artist teams to make it even easier, he says. “At the end of the day, boudoir needs to be about beauty and sexuality, nothing else.”
